I love Bananas, Do You Too? Give away for you!

I have always loved bananas and my boys do to.

It is the perfect first food.

  • I used to mash it up in a bowl with a fork and a little water or breastmilk.
  • Then as they got bigger I didnt’ even need a spoon I would just peel and spoon out little chunks.
  • Then as they got bigger I would cut pieces and put them on their high chair tray.
  • Now Thing 3 likes to either “eat it like a monkey” or practice using his knife and fork while he cuts and eats chunks of bananas.

  1. A smoothie is not a smoothie without a banana. I love them in smoothies. We also love bringing bananas with us on bike rides! A great quick energy food!

  2. I love that bananas are portable and that it’s super easy to tell when they’re ripe.

    I discovered a way to sweeten my oatmeal without adding sugar or sweeteners – half a banana, mashed, and the other half chopped into pieces. I stir the mash and the pieces into my oatmeal with a touch of cinnamon and nutmeg and add slivered almonds. Voila! “Banana-nut” oatmeal!

  3. We love bananas because they are delicious and CHEAP- only 49 cents a pound at our grocery store! My son eats one every morning with his breakfast.

  4. Is it too late for me to be #5? I love that a banana is filling and gives you energy. If you’re in a hurry and need something healthy and filling, a banana is perfect.
