Sand Gone Review – Just in time for Beach Days! – Closed

I am not a big beach lover, mostly because of the sand.

However my Three Things do love the beach, so I go and enjoy it, until it is time to wash off and get in the car.  Especially when we are at a beach without a shower!  (Who plans these things?)

How do I de-sand them?

So I was excited to try Sand Gone.

Sand Gone is a dry body powder that when applied to sandy parts of your body removes the sand leaving your skin soft and smooth.  A must for beachgoers.  Works great after children after playing in the sand box. All natural ingredients smells like coconut.

I was doubtful, but really didn’t have anything to lose.

Testing it out

We took our first beach outing last week.  It was an OK day.

Despite

  • the weather, it was cold and overcast
  • T2 crashing on the beach and getting a bruise while boogie boarding
  • T3 loosing his favorite toy boat to the ocean

we managed to have fun overall.  Then it was time to go and I had 3 sandy boys and no shower.

Did it work?

T2 said, “get out the sand gone!”  All 3 boys were excited that I finally had a product to review they would benefit from.

I got it out and patted it on and the big boys wiped the sand off.  I even would just put some on their hands and they put it on their body and the sand fell off.

I did T3 and patted it on and then it came off really easy.  He didn’t like it when I wiped it on.  He liked it when I patted it on: pat, pat, pat (with the puff) and the sand came off.

I was impressed.  We then went to the bathroom for a quick potty run before the car ride.  We left the sand gone with our stuff.  Upon pulling down T3’s swim suit we found LOTS more sand.  He kept asking me to go and get the sand gone.  I didn’t, but note for self:  next time you go to the beach, bring dry clothes to change T3 into and bring the sand gone into the changing room!

  • T3 rated it “infinity”
  • T2 rated it 4 out of 5 stars
  • T1 declined rating it (gotta love teenagers)
  • Mom rated it 5 out of 5.  A definite must for sandy outings!

  1. Thinking of the ickiness of post-beach sometimes outweighs the fun of going…I think winning the Sand Gone would motivate me more to get out there…my sweet little guy hates getting cleaned off after eating, sand is worse. Also excited about the coconut scent & the removal of salt as well!

  2. Oh man! I would love this! We are going to the beach later on in July. With a 4 year old and 2 year old and myself being 7 months preggo … I do not relish cleaning off the sand. This would be so much easier and would mean less sand in the beach house for me to sweep out! Woohoo!

  3. I would love to win this! We love the beach, but hate the sandy mess afterwards. And we love love coconut smelling things at this house so I’m excited to smell it too!

My husband flew me 1/2 way across the country 3 years ago to propose to me on the beach where I spent my childhood Summer vacations because he knew it was the one place where I had the happiest memories of my life. He wanted to add 1 more. We only had 1 day there before we had to turn around and come home. This year he is taking me there for 4 days on the 3rd anniversary of his proposal. This would be so perfect to have along!

  5. Personalised baby blankets

Wow sounds great, I have a 3 yr old that gets sand every where and its a night mare to get it off. Had a look round be it seems be only available to the USA, will have to get my friend to get some and post it to me!
