Birth Control – I took Your Advice!

Since I got my IUD out and DH is not on board with having another baby, we needed some kind of birth control.

My Current Birth Control Options –

I have narrowed down to 3 choices.

Spermicide

I had pretty much decided on Spermicide as my method of choice.  I loved Vaginal Contraceptive Film before. It worked great between my other babies.

But sadly, I am finding it really makes me itchy afterwards.  Ughh.  A day of itching isn’t worth it.

Condoms

So we tried some more natural condoms (non latex) and that is OK.  I don’t love it, but better than itching for a day.

Fertility Awareness Method

But I am really excited about Fertility Awareness Method.  (No it is not the rhythm method)  I am reading and loving Taking Charge of Your Fertility. (Review coming later in the week)  I am also using the FemCal App and loving that.

I have over 2 cycles charted now and DH actually felt confident enough (after looking at my charts) to use nothing on “safe” days and we have been using condoms on possible fertile days.

Thanks to all my readers who suggested the book.  I love it!
