5 incredible water activities for a pregnant woman

Congratulations, you’re having a baby. Being pregnant is the most incredible and possibly daunting time of a woman’s life.  Everything is about to change your life, your family, and your body. Fitness and body image is what lots of women deal with. You need to work hard to stay in shape and have fun.

Staying active throughout your pregnancy can help the time to pass quickly and help you to stay healthy and fit.   However, since you can’t do everything you used to do before you were pregnant here listed below are a few water activities that you can do which are sure to be fun and stress relieving.

Paddle Board:

Paddle boarding is a great way to get out of the house and enjoy yourself for a while. Not only does it have a positive effect on your stamina and posture is can also work as a stress reliever.  However, while pregnant you should stay away from the waves and stay in calm waters. Swimming is another option for physical exercise that pregnant women can look into. The water supports for your changing body, and unlike other everyday tasks that you find tiresome and challenging, this can give you the sense of ease that you’re looking for. It helps in relaxing your aching muscles, and it’s also calming. However, safety should be your number one concern, and you should be very careful while going and in and coming out of the pool, and slippery surfaces can prove to be a significant problem.

Water Aerobics:

Water aerobics is a great way to strengthen your muscles during your pregnancy. Water aerobics require no previous swimming experience. It comprises of all the usual activities such as walking, jogging and the aerobic moves done on the ground but with water supporting your changing body. The buoyancy of water helps you performs these tasks with ease however as your body grows you can but belly support to make sure that you don’t face any complications.it also proves to be helpful during pregnancy.

Snorkeling:

If you want to go have a good time in the outdoors snorkeling is the activity that you should go for. Not only is it an excellent physical exercise it is also a great way to interact with nature. However, before going to the reef, you should first

make sure that you can breathe through the snorkel easily as holding your breath for an extended amount of time can prove to be dangerous for the baby.

Kayaking:

Kayaking is also a great activity that pregnant women can pursue. It helps you stay physically fit and spending time in the water can help you meditate. While any kayak can do the trick, you should get a transparent kayak and go

 out into the water and have fun. Make sure to follow the safety measure and ask your doctors to pursue the activity in the third trimester.
