I am a big believer in the power of setting goals – I just reviewed my Birth goals from 2010 to see which ones I met.  Some of my discoveries were a little freaky!

2010 Birth Goals

Completed –

• Write E-Book by March – yes and over 2000 people have downloaded it.  🙂
• Update both Enjoy Birth and Pregnancy Birth and Baby websites by March – done
• Edit Birth Videos for Hypnobabies and distribute to instructors – done

These are the Freaky Ones

• Sell 20 Hypnobabies Home Study Courses – I do this through the Amazon Affiliate program.  I just went and counted.  I sold exactly 20.
• Teach 30 couples Hypnobabies Childbirth Hypnosis in my live course.  – I taught 29.
• Attend 10 births as a doula.  On the 30^th of December I had my 10^th birth.

Not Done –

• Online Classes – I started this, but lost steam and didn’t come close to finishing.  I would like to at least get the birthing choices series up this year!
• Start birth video editing company?  Nope, maybe one day.  I did buy that domain name – Enjoy Birth Productions.  That is about it.  I got a little burnt out

2011 Birth Goals

• Online Class –
  • All Birth Choices Segments up by April 1^st.
  • Let everyone know about the Induction Video!  (I started doing this last week, posted them on You Tube and blogged about them yesterday.)
  • Stages of birth up by September.
• Create Something to Sell for my Site – Another E-book?  A Video?  Some kind of product to sell that would help pregnant moms.
  • What would you like to see?  Something for moms, something for birth workers?  What kind of thing???
• Sell 33 Hypnobabies Home Studies via Amazon or when Hypnobabies has an affiliate program, through them.

Due to excessive amounts of vacations planned this year I only plan to teach 5 Hypnobabies Childbirth Hypnosis Class Series and I am only free a few months and random weeks when I could accept doula clients.  So I have lowered my goals for these things this year.  I am fine with that and it is one of the beauties of this business.  I am in control of the schedule!  (Not in control of when the babies are born – that would be magical!)

• Teach 23 Hypnobabies students
• Attend 5 births as a doula.

I will admit I picked more random numbers to see what happens this year.  Will I sell 33 Hypnobabies Home Study Kits?  Will I teach 23 students?  Only time will tell.  But I am excited to post about my goals next January!
