Mom rejects the "Big Baby" card and changes care providers

My walk to whole foods did not end in labor, perhaps because I took a cab back to work from there:)

I did, however, manage a last minute switch to the midwivery practice in the same OB’s office.  The midwives deliver their own patients in the hospital where the OBs are on call, but the OBs don’t participate unless needed.

The midwife I saw this morning said

• she guesses 8.5 pounds at best, and that experienced mothers are usually better than ultrasounds at guessing baby weight.
• She didn’t even comment on my age
• or mention induction.
• She did suggest some natural methods of trying to get things started.

I feel much better about holding out for mother nature.  She said if nothing happens by next Friday “we” could consider stripping my membranes.  I’m not up for that yet, but she didn’t push it.  She just said it was an option to consider.
