52 Weeks of Organizing – Thing 2′s Room

I love summer.   It is a great chance to have the big things de-clutter and organize their rooms.

This year was even better because I took an Online Organizing with Your Kids course at Simplify 101.  It was very inspirational.

We started with Thing 2’s room.

Here is our before pictures.

First off back in January, when I moved the toys out of the kitchen, I moved the storage unit up to T2’s room.  I thought it would be great for his Lego’s.

Before

He filled it up quickly!  🙂  You can see the top of his bookshelf to the right of the picture.

Top of dresser, busy bookshelf and side table.

Crazy Closet

Time for my weekly project!

In Process:

We did the majority of the de-cluttering in one day.  His friend J. helped too!  (taking home many of the things T2 didn’t want anymore)

After – but before different furniture

We are probably going to change furniture, once T1 is done de-cluttering his room.  But this is how it is for now.  Much better!

1 Empty shelve in the closet organizer.

Top of his dresser.

2 empty shelves on the bookcase

Still need a stuffed animal solution!  But looking better!
