Then the Holiday Craziness Begins!

I am at the point where I am ready to slow down and really take the time to connect with my family and focus on THEM!  That will help me too.  It will also give me the time to connect with myself.

I need to slow down.

Honestly, it is hard for me to know how to do this.  Therapy and Yoga have helped me.  If you are a birth worker, read Micky’s Book, it really helped me too!

I am posting less on my blog. I doubt I will ever give up my blog, because it is something I love to do, that feeds me.

As I finish out some other obligations I have, I am going to allow myself to blog less, take the stress off.  Just do it for fun.

No More Doula Clients for Awhile

I am sad to say that I am not going to be taking any doula clients for about a year.  I have 1 friend who is due and I hope to be there, but then I am done.  Being on call adds this layer of stress to our family that is not needed at this time.

As you can see, I have plenty to do.

Especially because T2 has an awesome opportunity to be a part of a traveling Musical Theater Group.  He is so excited and so am I.  But I will be busy almost every month traveling with him, so it would be near impossible to commit to doula anyone.  So when he is done doing that, I can probably start up again!

Sharing is caring!

  1. I’ve had to say “No” to many of the same things. All you can do is all you can do, but all you can do is enough. 🙂

  2. Whew!!!!!!

Glad to hear you re-evaluating. We all need to do that on a regular basis.

Family First! You have always done an amazing amount in a finite period of time. Your shift in attention and focus is inspiring! Enjoy that wonderful family of yours. The rest of the world will wait! When I was a single mom of a young son I was able to put some things on hold – like learning to play the organ – until I was done savoring my time with him. He grew up and there was still plenty of time to learn organ!

    Take care! You are!
