So Easy Toddler Food Review

I have a very picky 5 year old. I wish I had this book a few years ago when he was a toddler, but what a better test subject then him!

Helpful Tips

The book starts out with some simple but great information to help set up good habits for your kids.

  • Six Tips for Developing Healthy Eating Habits
  • The 10 Times Rule for Toddlers
  • Converting Picky Eaters
  • DOs and DON’Ts to Avoid Food Battles
  • Making the Most of Your Child’s Day

These tips were really helpful and great reminders of what I have been doing wrong and right.  (Sadly mostly wrong, hence the picky 5 year old)  If I had read this book a few years ago, maybe it would have helped prevent that.

Yummy Recipes

There are 35 recipes with pictures in this 48 page book.  Covering:

  • Breakfasts
  • Lunches
  • Dinners
  • Salads
  • Sides
  • Soups
  • Desserts

I was at first surprised they included desserts, what kid needs help eating those?  But upon closer inspection I found they were yummy desserts with healthy things snuck into them.  For instance the popsicles include tofu!

I have my shopping list made up with ingredients I need for the recipes I want to try.  I am hoping that by following the tips and making some of these easy foods that Thing 3 will branch out a bit and start to be a healthier eater!

Overall I think this is a good simple book if you need support in feeding your toddler or preschooler.  The tips in the front of the book were just as helpful for me as the recipes!  The recipes are easy to make and look yummy and fun for your kids to eat.

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers. 1. Will you update once you’ve made the recipes? I have several baby/toddler cook books, but the toddler recipes always end up being too complicated (think preparing two full meals, one for us, one for him)… I am just curious what your experience will be as you work with the recipes! This definitely looks like something I would like to try.
