I LOVED this article by Jennifer Block. (I also LOVED her book Pushed.)
In the article she talks about how we need to stop blaming moms for cesareans. I agree, usually when moms have chosen a cesarean, there is a care provider pushing it. Obviously there are often times when a cesarean is medically necessary. But many “elective” cesareans and unplanned cesareans are not really because mom WANTS to have a cesarean.
