When I saw the opportunity to review Brilliant Lenses I was so excited. We all (except T3) wear glasses in our family. Every morning I take mine and the big boys glasses and clean them off. We were using the Kirkland glasses cleaning kit to clean them. It was hit or miss with that product. Sometimes the Kirkland kit left it streaky and the boys would get frustrated using it, which is why it became my morning job to clean the glasses.
I was wondering if something else would really be better. I was also intrigued with the claim to help reduce scratches. T1 and T2 are brutal on their glasses and scratches abound.
I will say that cleaning the glasses is easier with Brilliant Lenses. I never get streaks and it cleans the glasses really well. I even used it to clean my iPhone.
The big test came in having the boys try it out. Would they find it as easy to use? They did. No more complaints of streaks and now they can have the job of cleaning their own glasses in the morning! Anything to help them be more independent.
I can’t say for sure yet if it helps reduce scratching. But even with just the ease of using it to clean I can easily recommend this system and I will be buying more Brilliant Lenses when our sample runs out.

Call me strange, but I actually use something really, really simple… I use one of my daughters (very clean) terry-cloth diaper liners to wipe the lenses after rinsing with water, spraying with lens cleaner from the optometrist, and rinsing again. Those little microfibre cloths have NEVER worked well for me, but I’ve finally found something that does! Three of us wear glasses in our home, and I’ve never been disappointed with a FuzziBunz cloth diaper soaker pad!! 🙂
I am terrible about taking care of my glasses. I’m totally guilty of just cleaning them with my shirt when I can’t see anymore. Never had good luck with other products so I stopped buying them — I’d love to find somethign that works.
PS just found your blog and I <3 it!
Thanks!
