I got a free CD of Daddy Plays: Guitar Lullabies to review. I must say it was quite a pleasant surprise. A lot of times lullaby CDs sound so canned and not very musical. I used to play classical music for my boys as they fell asleep, because I had never found a lullaby CD I loved. I think that anything a child listens to should be beautiful and meaningful, especially as they drift off to dreamland!
Well this CD made the cut! It is very musical and enjoyable to listen to! The guitar is a wonderful instrument for lullabies, very soothing and peaceful. The songs are familiar, though there are some original songs on there as well.

Oh my word, Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star just about put me to sleep just listening to it, LOL! I love ALL of those songs, but for some reason, Loon Loons really spoke to me… love it. Thanks for hosting such a fun giveaway! 🙂 The beautiful harmonies are just so musical and beautiful… *happy sigh*
oh wow, I know I won the Chiquita Banana giveaway, but this CD sounds BEAUTIFUL. Besides, I never knew that “Hanschen Klein” was the name of that tune I must have played a million times when learning to play flute.
I have always liked “You Are My Sunshine” and it is lovely on this CD also. I “liked” your facebook page also – didn’t realize you had one and that I wasn’t a fan until today. 🙂
I think I’ll like “Brahm’s Lullaby”- I sing it to my little guy now all the time, and I love acoustic guitar music (my husband plays), so I think it would be a perfect match!
What a great album. The Brahms Lullaby has always been a favorite of mine. 🙂 thanks!
Great review! Thanks! 🙂
